Sneaky, Atrocious, and Complicated Crimes in Japan 卑劣、極悪、そして複雑な日本の犯罪

数ヶ月前に神奈川県川崎市で、13歳の中学生が18歳の少年に殺害されました。何回か刺したあと、死体は河川敷に遺棄されました。
A couple of months ago, a 13-year-old boy was killed by his friends aged 18 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa. After being stabbed several times, his body was abandoned at a riverside area.

犯罪を犯した未成年は少年法で守られているので、犯罪の内容に関係なく、その犯人たちは死刑になることもありませんし、残りの人生を刑務所で過ごすことはないでしょう。
Since a minor who committed crime is protected by the Juvenile Law, the criminals will never be sentenced to death, even would never spend the rest of their lives behind bars, regardless of the degree of the crime.

警察の調査によりますと、今年二人の日本人ジャーナリストを殺害したISISを真似しながら、犯人たちはその中学生のロープにようなもので手を縛り、首を刺しました。
According to the police investigation, the criminals tied up the boy's hands with a rope and stabbed him around the neck, mimicking ISIS members who murdered two Japanese journalists this year.

日本では、意味もなく命を落とした人が多すぎると思います。
I think there are too many people who have died for nonsense reasons in Japan.

7年前に秋葉原で起こった、「秋葉原無差別殺人事件」はいまでも私の頭に焼きついています。
The incident in Akihabara 7 years ago, which was called the "Akihabara massacre", still burns into my brain.

トラックで５人を轢いたあと、無職の男は12人を無差別に刺していきました。その犯罪動機は社会に閉塞感を感じていたから。それを発散するために、哀れみの心無く多くの人を傷つけました。
Having run over 5 people by truck, a jobless man randomly stabbed 12 people. The motive of his crime was that he was stressed out. To let it out, he mercilessly hurt a lot of people.

通り魔の最も恐ろしいことは、人々はそれを予想、そして防ぐことができないところです。
The most horrible thing about random attackers is that people cannot predict or prevent their attacks.

先ほど述べた13歳の中学生に関して、彼の周りの人々は彼が実際に虐められていたことを察知することができなかったそうです。
As for the 13-year-old boy that I mentioned, people around him didn't recognize that he had been actually bullied.

日本で起こる犯罪は卑劣、極悪、そして複雑です。
The crime that happen in Japan seem complicated, sneaky, and atrocious.

今までフィリピン人が無差別にほかの人を殺したニュースは聞いたことがありません。多くの場合は明らかな理由があり、犯罪に至ることが多いように思われます。日本とくらべると、この国の犯罪はシンプルかもしれません。
I have never heard of news that a Filipino killed others t random so far. I think there are, most of the time, clear reason why Filipino criminals end up committing crime. The crimes in the country seem simple, compared to the ones in Japan.

奥の日本人が、「日本に来るべきだよ、日本は安全だよ！」と外国人に言います。本当にそうでしょうか？私はそのようなことは決して外国人には言えません。
Most Japanese say to foreigners, "you should come to Japan, our country is safe!".
Is that so? I will never say such a thing to foreigners.
